your back and provides

Using mild traction, it lets your
own weight work for you.
You are in complete control of everything that happens.
You may stop at any time.
But... if you're like most people
you'll won't want
to stop,
because it feels so good.
Easy to adjust...
Pull out the knob and
slide the center support bar
to the correct mark.
Anybody can use
BACK-A-TRACTION®.
Just
one simple adjustment.
This is the starting position.
Step up on the foot
rest,
between the two
padded roller cushions.
Use the vertical bars to
help support
and guide
you into
position.
Lean forward, holding the foot-rest
control bar, pull it toward you until
your feet and ankles are comfortable.
The padded roller cushions will hold your feet in place while you tilt
back.
Lean back and relax onto the
padded backrest.
Press the vertical control buttons and tilt back to the
horizontal position
Using the vertical
control bars,
you can
exercise, stretch
or change positions.
The pushbuttons control the angle... horizontal, 15º
or 30º.
Ahhh...
Relief at last!
Tilt back to 15º.
This is where you will do therapy for a few sessions, until you are comfortable with
the procedure and your back builds strength.
Stretch your arms over
your head.
Feel the
traction on your back?
Reach one hand over your
head.
Place the other on
your stomach.
Alternate every 30
seconds.
Your back muscles will
soon relax as
your disks
stretch and elongate, allowing lubricating fluids to return.
Place both arms over your head.
Slowly twist from side to side,
flexing your back gently.
We call
this torsion.
All these movements help
your back regain
strength, mobility
and increase your range of motion.
Return level.
Push toward your feet to stretch
your back. This
is traction.
Alternate pushing and relaxing, holding for 30
seconds each.
Relax for a few minutes.
Depress the control bar buttons and pull yourself
back to
vertical again.
Reach down and depress
the footrest control bar button
and slide it away from your
ankles and feet and dismount.
The length of your first session
should take about 5 minutes.
Next session you'll do this therapy routine again,
adding more time.
Do this therapy routine for 3 sessions,
5-10 minutes at 15 degrees.
